    My 18th Birthday
Yeah, so today is my 18th birthday so I am no longer breaking the law when I play on partypoker and I can finally get my own account. It's nice that Michigan is good enough to acknowledge my birthday by giving me a four day weekend. I am going to be coming home today to watch Sterling's Football team get smoked in their Homecoming game. That should be amusing. Then I get to stay home and relax for the weekend. Monday I might even go in to Butcher and Sterling to visit some old teachers. Anyone know where they sell stink bombs so I can put one in Ms. Ryntz's waste basket. hehehe. Anyway, I actually miss a lot of my teachers from Butcher. They were so much better than the ones at Sterling for the most part. Admittedly that doesn't take a whole lot with teachers like Ryntz at Sterling. From what I hear, a lot of people should be coming home this weekend and going to the Homecoming game so that should be pretty cool, except for the fact that Sterling is going to get smoked.

Life is Great and Poker Rules
Finally, I am playing poker like I was about a month ago. I stopped playing crappy and have started to dominate the tables once again. When I first started playing I was doing so well. I would win or place in the money in well over half of the tournaments I played in but then I hit a dry streak. I moved away from the $5 and $10 tables and started to play more conservative and began to lose. Then I moved back down to the lower stakes tables that I did so well at before but I couldn't even win those anymore. I just got more and more angry with poker as the account shrunk and shrunk. I tried to think of how I played before that won me so much and two days ago I began to think that I should play more aggressively. I originally tried this two days ago and made $23 playing 2 $5 tournaments, taking first in one and third in another. Then yesterday I tried another $5 tournament which I lost and 2 $10 tournaments which I won. I had made $72 playing for about 2 hours. Today, once again I tried the $10 tables. I played three tournaments and won 2 in less than 2 hours giving me another $67 and putting the account back up above $300. I am so happy right now that I figured out why I was doing so bad and was able to correct it.

Yeah, so enough about poker. The rest of my life is going well too. I had two exams this week. I took my Chemistry exam on Tuesday and I think I totally aced it. Then, Wednesday I had my Engineering 101 test. I think I did allright on it but I'm not positive. I don't know why but I am just so happy today. Maybe it's having my tests out of the way. Maybe it's being back on track in poker. Maybe it's having a nice Ipod Nano to take with me evrywhere. Maybe it's a combination of of all of these. I don't know for sure. All I know now is that everything is going good for me. I just have one test next week and then I get to go home for a nice four day weekend. Life is Great.

Oh yeah, and what makes it even better is that Michigan football is back on track. With Hart back and healthy we can beat anyone. This week against Minnesota, I hope Michigan will show the drive and determination they did last week against Michigan State. If they do I think they can win out the rest of the season. Hail to the Victors!!!!!!!!!!!

    My First Exam
Today was my first exam, if you could really call it that. It was for Chemistry and it was by far one of the easiest exams I have ever taken. I am 99.99% sure that I got at least a 90% on it and I think that I probably got 100%. Tomorrow is my first exam in Engineering 101. It should also be pretty easy but not quite as easy as Chemistry. I might study for it for like 15 minutes tomorrow. Just 10 more days until my birthday and when I come home for an extended weekend. Sterling's homecoming game should be quite amusing, getting to see them get blown out and all. It should be a fun weekend.

    It's That Time Again
My laundry basket is filling up and I am running out of clothes. Time to go home for the weekend to get my laundry done. Also I will get to avoid all of the riots that will happen Saturday, whether Michigan wins or loses. I have to admit though, a riot could be quite some fun. lol. My classes are going pretty well. They're pretty boring, correction, really boring, but at least they are easy. I was originally going to go to my church to watch the game because they bring in the big screen every year but I really don't want to have to deal with the MSU fans this weekend. I'll probably just end up watching the bloodbath at home. Besides that, I really don't think I'm going to be doing much this weekend. Most likely I'll sit around and do nothing, that's alays fun. I can't wait for an actual home cooked meal. I haven't had one of those in two weeks. Go Blue!!!

    My Weekend
This weekend was a lot of fun. I stayed up at Michigan even thought there was an away game and a crappy one at that. Me and Matti had our first visitors this weekend. Robbie came up on Friday and Ryan came up on Saturday and they both stayed until Sunday. It was a fun poker filled weekend. We ordered pizza each day and unfortunately stayed in to watch the Michigan game. Mostly though we just hung out at the dorm and played poker. It was a fun weekend though. We also played some tennis on the courts right by our dorm. Yeah, Saturday night was really great though. We stayed up till 4:00 AM playing poker online. People play really dumb that late. Overall, despite the loss to Wisconsin it was a pretty fun weekend.

    My Classes
I thought I'd just tell a little about each of my classes.

Chem 130 - Basically 10th Grade Chemistry all over again except we have a teacher who doesn't make every answer 666 or 66.6 and so on. We do have a GSI (Graduate Student Instructor) however who could not speak English to save his life. Luckily I can just block him out and get some studying or something done during discussion sessions. Unfortunately the quizes are given near the end of the hour after he has managed to confuse just about everyone in the class. Otherwise I would just take the quiz and leave if it were at the beginning. So far I have earned a perfect score on both quizes. It's an easy class that I should definitely get a 4.0 in.

Math 215 - This class is also very easy. It's not the class I'm worried about, it's more how totally lazy I am that gets me worried. Luckily we get to drop our lowest quiz grade. I think that is probably going to be my first quiz. I hope it will be at least. Yeah, so if I put any effort into this class I should easily earn a 4.0.

Engin 101 - Yeah, supposedly it is supposed to be difficult if you have never learned programming before. Well, I never learned programming before and it is really easy. Some people are having trouble with it though and I'm like, how can you find it difficult. Well, I guess they are just stupid. I honestly think that the average intelligence of people at MMSTC is higher than at Michigan. So yeah, this is another class I should definitely get a 4.0 in.

CLCIV 120 - This class seemed like it would be my easiest class before I started at Michigan but I don't know anymore. It's quite often those extreme blowoff classes that end up killing me. Well, hopefully I'll end up with a 4.0 in the class. We'll see though.

    Back at Michigan
After a nice weekend of home cooking and sleeping in my own bed, I am back up at Michigan again. Back to those "difficult" classes and the endless bad beats on party poker. I am going to be up here for two weeks now and will be coming home on the weekend of the big game, MSU vs Michigan. To say I'm worried about that game would be an understatement. So, today I watched the Lions game. They were really able to play well, I mean, only losing to such a phenominal team like Chicago by a ton of points. It was the Lions of old. No, I take that back. It was worse than the Lions of old. These are the new Lions. They have everything they could possibly need to succeed and yet they fail more miserably than ever. I don't know about you, but I am impressed.

    How I Almost Died Today
Today, me, Matti, and Tony were on our way back to our dorm on the bus when Kevin Kramer gon on the bus. Supposedly his nickname is KKK so Tony yells pretty loudly KKK. There were like 20 people on the bus then who must have heard it. Luckily none of them were African American so we survived the day. I was cracking up the entire bus ride back to our dorm. It certainly would have been far less hilarious had there been an African American on the bus considering we would probably be dead right now.

    I'm Going Home
After the game Saturday. Why would I do this when being at Michigan is so great? A very simple answer. I need my laundry done. Plus I want some nice home cooking. Dorm food does get very old, very quickly. My first few weeks here have really been a lot of fun. I thought I would be a little homesick but I haven't really been homesick at all. I mean, how can you miss your parents when they call you every single day, at least twice a day. lol. My classes aren't that bad at all. Chem is going to be really easy considering I already learned most of it from 10th grade Chem and Science Olympiad. Calc is a math class and I am a math genius so that should be a blowoff. Engineering 101 looks like it will be a fare amount of work but it should be easy work. Classical Civilizations should also be a very easy class. I am looking forward to coming home though for the weekend. It'll be nice to sleep in my own bed again and eat good food. Go Blue! Die Notre Dame and the refs from that game!

    DIE NOTRE DAME
Tomorrow is the first big game of the season. Notre Dame will find out what it truly means to be smoked once again, just like two years ago. Well, today I played some tennis and smoked my opponents. It was quite amusing. Now I need to rest up so I can go crazy at them game tomorrow. 38-0 again, hopefully. I would be doing a lot of cheering if that were the case.

    US Open
I have been watching the US Open the past week and the person I have been most impressed with is James Blake. I predict a final between him and Federer and I predict he will end Federer's streak in finals. Right now I am watching the Agassi vs. Blake match and he is annihilating Agassi. It's insane.

    The First Game
So yesterday was the first football game and it was a really crazy experience. We boarded the football shuttle at around 1:50 and rode it down to the stop closest to the stadium. This stop was no where near the stadium though. We had to walk at least like 2 miles from the bus stop to get to the Big House. It was quite an entertaining walk. On football days, literally everything stops and everone flocks to the stadium. It was crazy how many people there were there. On the way we stopped to get a bite to eat because the food in the stadium is a total ripoff. What else was amusing was all of the parties that were going on before the game on people's front yards. Everyone was just sitting out there drinking in the open and nobody cared. What's great is that there were even police officers around and they didn't even care that the people's front lawns were covered with beer cans and cups. Then when we got to the stadium we found that our seats are very close to the top, row 87. The game started off and right away we drove for a score. Our offense was quite impressive. Our defense however was pitiful. If it weren't for an interception and a couple of fumbles we might have actually lost to Northern Illinois. This makes me wonder how our defense wil hold up against teams with offenses that don't just turn the ball over. The games that worry me the most are Notre Dame, Iowa, Michigan State, and Ohio State. Hopefully our defense can improve enough to win these games.

    FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Less than a day now until kickoff. Their first game is going to be a tough one, Northern Illinois. I predict a total and complete blowout, 35-0. Well, going to a game at the Big House is going to be such an awesome experience. I can't wait. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a really awesome day and Michigan will blow out their opponent while MSU will get blown out by their opponent.

Something I Have Never Done Before
No, not drugs, alcohol or sex. I'm actually going to start jogging to keep in shape. Yeah, I know you guys are probably laughing since you know the only sport I played was tennis because I did not have to run for that. Well, being up at college I've become far more lazy and since I'm not a freshmen I don't want to be victimized by the sophomore seventy. That's why I decided I'm going to start jogging to keep in shape. I am going to try to jog everyday but I will see how that goes. Well, anyway, this entry probably gave you all a good laugh.
